Husqvarna Race Report - Cajun National Enduro

Corona, CA - April 15, 2013 - Husqvarna racers were in action on both coasts of the United States over the weekend - Cory Graffunder in the West Hare Scrambles series and the Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna team at the Louisiana National Enduro. Hard work and fortitude led both teams to top-ten finishes with Graffunder taking fourth and FAR Husky's Andrew DeLong ending his day in eighth.
After his win at the previous National Enduro, Andrew DeLong was ready to prove his mettle. Adorned with the #21A "red plate," DeLong started the day strong aboard his TXC310R, but soon after a crash on the second test started having mechanical difficulties. After attempting a number of fixes in their limited pit time, the team opted to gut it out for a credible finish rather than a podium.
"The bike was awesome in Texas; not sure what happened today," DeLong lamented. "I am bummed for the team, but finishing eighth with the bike having problems is a respectable finish."
Out west, Cory Graffunder took on the Shasta Lake West Hare Scrambles. The tight-terrain specialist found the technical sections of the course to his liking, but admitted he wasn't charging as hard in the fast sections. The defending champion ended the day in a modest fourth place before heading straight to the airport for his next challenge: the International X Games EnduroX in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil!
"I'm bummed that the day didn't go better," Graffunder said. "But right now it's on to the next challenge. I'm really excited to be a part of the first International X Games EnduroX. It's such a big step for the sport, and I'm sure we're all going to have a great time in Brazil! When we get back, then it's time for the start of the AMA EnduroCross season, and I'm really excited for that, as well."
