Bryan Buckhannon & Bryan Walker Report - Steele Creek

Beckley, WV: Riding his Can-am Outlander in the 4x4 Open Bryan Buckhannon brought home the class win again at GNCC’s Steele Creek. The weather in NC was amazing!  The crowd base in Morganton was enthusiastic encouraging riders to race harder against their competition.  Buckhannon nailed the hole shot & lead the AM skirmish up an intense hill immediately following the start line.  The hill was action packed with a concentrated steep downhill as soon the riders hit the top.  Buckhannon’s GBC tires climbed all of Steel Creek’s challenges making the ride look easy.  Bryan Buckhannon said, “I owe DP Brakes a lot of credit.  Without the control & precise stops DP Brakes allow me to make, I would have a harder time maintaining my position because I have a love for the throttle when it comes to racing.”  Buckhannon lead overall for a large portion of the race.  Experiencing small mechanical problems Buckhannon fell about to a six place overall finish.  However, nothing held Buckhannon back as he won the 4x4 Open class with a 4+ minute lead.

Bryan Buckhannon would like to take a moment to send thoughts & prayers to Josh Fredrick & family.  Josh Fredrick is a leader in ATV off-road racing.  Recently Josh was in an accident which keeps him from attending races at the moment.  Buckhannon said, “My thoughts & prayers are with Josh.  Josh has been a great inspiration to many racers & remains one today.  I want Josh to know I believe he is capable of succeeding at any challenge he is faced with.  I have seen Josh tackle desert, rocks & jumps.  Keep believing in yourself Josh. ”

Buckhannon is looking very forward to Big Buck in Union, SC.  In addition to the 4x4 Open class victory he seeks, Buckhannon is excited to put his Can-am Maverick to the test in the UTV XC1 class.  Bryan Stafford, from Stafford Racing, will join Buckhannon as they combat their way to the top.  Buckhannon & Stafford have complete faith in their Maverick set up individualized by Johnson’s Motorsports & ATV Part’s Plus.

Buckhannon’s nephew, Bryan Walker, admitted the hill climb off of the start line was one of the scariest dares he ridden.  Walker rode hard off of the start line & gave it his all until his machine stalled out.  Like Buckhannon, Walker, is ready for Big Buck & desires a place in victory lane in the Junior 125 8-11 years class.

Both Bryans are grateful for the help of their 2013 sponsors.  New to the sponsor list is Buckhannon’s hometown outdoor adventure park, Burning Rock located in Sophia, WV.  Buckhannon would like to invite everyone to Burning Rock where he gains some practice time.  Burning Rock outdoor park trails are growing in size & now include family loops.  Rustic cabins with modernized plumbing are available for overnight stays.  Stop by Buckhannon’s pit set up for more detailed information and coupons.
