Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Report - Steele Creek
Tuesday, April 9, 2013 | 11:20 AM
Round three of the 2013 AMSOIL GNCC Season started off well for Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Racing's Josh Strang as he found himself in a solid 3rd-place position after the first hour of racing. Strang was 40-seconds down from the lead duo of Charlie Mullins and Kailub Russell at the start of the 4th lap of racing and after a quick pit stop he put his head down to try and bridge the gap to the leaders, but his race was derailed when he clipped the bars of a lapped rider sending Strang to the ground and severely tweaking his knee in the crash. Josh was able to rejoin the race but was unable to continue at a regular race-pace due to the knee pain. Strang would ultimately cross the finish line in 12th-place position in the XC1 Pro Class.
Please see the attached video report for Josh’s full race report. A doctor’s appointment this afternoon confirmed that the knee is only strained, no tears inside, so Josh will do some therapy and continue his preparations for the 4th round of the series at the Big Buck GNCC in Union, SC, Sunday, April 21st.
