Chris Borich continued his domination of the GNCC’s ATV series with a victory at Round 3, held April 6 in Morganton, North Carolina. The win is Borich’s third of the season. Fellow Maxxis rider Chris Bithell took second place in XC1 Pro, while Walker Fowler was fourth.
After Borich took the holeshot, Bithell took an early lead and traded the front position with Borich from much of the race. “It was the first time I got the holeshot all year. The Razrs hooked up so good off the line,” he said. “The track was pretty technical with a lot of real slick hills and some mud sections, and the Razrs hooked up great.” After a more difficult start, Fowler worked his way to the front five and then into fourth place. Borich, Fowler and Bithell hold the top three spots in XC1 Pro standings.
In other excellent news for Maxxis, Fred Marley and Brycen Neal both raced to podium spots in the XC2 Pro Am class. Neal leads the class in points, with Marley in third place and Landon Wolfe in fifth. And after mechanical difficulties at the first two rounds, Team UXC’s Michael Swift grabbed his first win of the season in the U2 class.
Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich and Michael Swift on their victories and thanks all of its riders for their outstanding performances.
