Maxxis rider Jason Thomas took over the points lead for the XC2 Pro Lites title with a class win at Round 11 of the GNCC. Thomas was sixth overall at the race, held October 7 in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Thomas said that his Maxxcross SI tires were instrumental in the victory, his second class win of the year: “It was cold and damp as rain had fallen, which made conditions really slick. I used an SI front and rear, and I had perfect traction all day. About mid-point of the race, it started to rain a little, but it wasn’t an issue. I was still able to get grip and keep moving forward to seal the win!”Ã
FAR Husqvarna’s Andrew Delong joined Thomas on the XC2 podium in third place, taking ninth overall for the day. Delong is third in points for the class. Also turning in a fine performance at Round 11 was Christopher Douglas, who finished 7th in XC2 and was 13th overall for the day.
Maxxis congratulates Jason Thomas on his victory and thanks Andrew Delong, Christopher Douglas and all of its riders for their fine performances.
