Westley Wolfe Race Report – X-Factor and Tomahawk GNCC’s

MYERSVILLE, M.D. (June 23, 2017) – With the 2017 GNCC series reaching its halfway point, Westley Wolfe has been busy traveling from Indiana to New York, not including the trips he’s made for the ATV Motocross series, over the past two months.

After the original race date for the X-Factor GNCC was postponed due to flooding, the rescheduled date, May 20, was hit with even more rain creating one of the muddiest GNCC’s in history. The two-lap race was cut even shorter for Wolfe, where the thick Indiana mud plagued his machine, making him unable to finish the race.

Wolfe lined up at the next round in New York three weeks later, June 10, looking for redemption where he got off to a mid-pack start. As he neared the completion of the first lap, he sat in a top-ten position and continued pushing through the pack. Once the white flag was waving, Wolfe had moved into seventh and was pushing to secure sixth when he made a costly mistake and wrecked. Wolfe then remounted his quad to finish eighth overall at the Tomahawk GNCC.

“Snowshoe is this weekend, and I’m excited to take on one of the roughest GNCC tracks we race,” said Wolfe. “It’s known for being unpredictable and my goal is to land a top-five finish.”

GNCC Racing continues this weekend, June 24, in West Virginia with the Snowshoe GNCC. Wolfe is currently ranked fifteenth overall, and eleventh in class, and will look to improve his standings at round eight this Saturday.
