Round six of the AMA National Enduro Series took place this past weekend in Cross Fork, Pennsylvania. The weather was hot with temperatures reaching into the high 80's with some humidity. Terrain was rocky and dirt conditions were dry and dusty. This round consisted of 6 tests ranging from 5 miles to just below 10 miles.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Josh Strang started the day feeling great, finishing the first test in 3rd place, just three seconds behind the 2nd place finisher. This momentum was carried into the next two tests, where he finished in 2nd in both. By the time test 4 approached, the track was very dusty and visibility was low for Strang. He missed a turn which cost him valuable time and as a result, led to a 3-way battle for 2nd place. Josh Strang was able to recover after the 4th test and rode hard to complete the final 2 tests in 7th and 3rd, leading to a 2nd overall finish!
"Yesterday was went great, besides all of the dust," said Josh Strang. "I had a lot of fun which helped in my overall results. My bike was set up for this track and I was able to stay consistent all day."
