Dry conditions and cool temperatures greeted the riders on race day.  Russell launched off the line with the top riders and moved into third position early in the race only to experience a couple of crashes that cost him a great shot at a podium positon.  Russell said “track conditions and lapped riders was a challenge, but he will take the fourth place finish and continue to build for round nine at Snowshoe WV."  Russell went on to say “the RM-Z450 performed well today and I was able to get to the finish without any issues."
