Round 12 of the GNCC took place at Powerline Park in Ohio this weekend. The weather was sunny but temperatures were low at 45°F. The course was made up of six 13 mile loops and consisted of mostly fast hard pack with one big water hole and the infamous Powerline Creek Jump.

Rockstar Energy athlete and Husqvarna rider, Ryan Sipes took the lead shortly after the start. He was followed closely by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Josh Strang as they went into the first wooded section of the course. Sipes miscalculated his line up a hill, allowing for Strang to take the lead. From there, Strang led the race and made it difficult for anyone to catch him. "I chose good lines, and once I was able to pull a gap, I maintained it," said Strang. This strong performance enabled Strang to take his second GNCC win this season. Ryan Sipes held on strong after having technical issues, and finished in fifth place.

Josh Strang's win pushed him up to fourth place in overall points and Sipes sits in sixth, within reach to fifth place! Due to a previously sustained injury, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's, Andrew Delong, did not participate in this round.
