Tuesday, June 23, 2015 | 10:00 AM

Team UXC/Polaris Factory Racing’s Kevin Trantham wins the Pro 4x4 class and morning overall at Round 9 of the GNCC Series in Snowshoe, West Virginia aboard his factory backed Polaris 850 EPS Scrambler. Team UXC heads into the summer break with seven out of nine Pro 4x4 class wins.

Trantham and teammate Michael Swift started on row one along with the top five Pro 4x4 racers. Snowshoe is the only GNCC race with a live engine start with each row starting ten seconds apart. By mile marker eight of the first lap, Trantham passed for the lead and would hold on to it with teammate Swift close behind. Swift encountered an electrical problem with just a lap and half to go causing him to drop back several positions. Trantham continued to dominate and crossed the checkered collecting his 4th Pro 4x4 Class win.

“My Team UXC/Factory Polaris was working awesome today at the Snowshoe Mountain GNCC. I was able to work my way into the lead on the first lap thanks to STM clutches and Adam with Airdam for helping us get the most power out of our Scramblers 850’s. The Teixeira Tech a-arms with Custom Axis shocks was able to soak up and withstand everything that the rough and rugged Snowshoe course had. Big thanks to Maxxis tires, OMF wheels and Tireballs, what a great combination!! Ricochet skids kept the quad well protected and the Evans Coolant kept us running nice and cool to be able to put the Polaris in the center of the box once again for the win in the Pro 4x4 Class and take the morning overall,” stated Trantham.

Team UXC rider Nic Snyckers finished with a 3rd place podium in the 4x4 Novice Class, while Graham Widdicombe had a respectable finish after traveling to all nine rounds from the United Kingdom.

“I am proud of how well our team did today and has done this far into the season. We will be hard at work during the summer testing new components and set-ups. We will come ready to do our very best in round 10,” stated Michael Swift—UXC team manager.

During the GNCC summer break, Team UXC will still be competing at various events. In mid August Swift, Trantham, and Higbee will team up to race the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno on the Polaris Scrambler 1000 EPS. Then in late August, Team UXC will have a variety of teams on the Polaris Scrambler and Razors at the Heartland 10 Hour Challenge in Iowa.
