Wicked Bilt’s Treavis Poynter clinched a podium finish in the XC1 Pro SxS class at Big Buck, round four of the 2015 GNCC series, in Union, SC and extended his points lead over the competition while David Plavi finished third in SxS XC2 Pro Sport.

Big Buck was the second round of competition for SxS classes in the 2015 GNCC Series. Treavis Poynter had taken the win in the first round at the General GNCC, which gave him the point’s lead. Poynter was determined to keep that lead despite the rough and dusty conditions at round two in South Carolina.

Can-Am's Treavis Poynter started out on the front row with the round one win, and he took advantage of it and grabbed the holeshot. “I had a good start and got out front. I tried to put as much distance between me and everyone else as soon as possible because of all the dust,” Poynter explained.

Wicked Bilt’s Poynter held the physical lead from start to finish and at the end, with the time adjustment; he took second place in his class and second overall. “Our Offroadmotorsports/ Wicked Bilt Can-Am worked great out there for both rounds and I really couldn’t be happier. We are experimenting with new spring technology and it works great on the tight trails and handles like it’s on rails. Everything went just as we hoped it would. We are here for a championship, so we are looking good for now. We have a win and a second place, so we have the points lead and are in good shape for a championship,” said Poynter.

Poynter’s performance has him at 55 points, which is 13 points ahead of second place heading into the next round. “It’s a huge weight off my shoulders to have the points lead. Offroadmotorsports has put together an amazing Can-Am for us and we came in and won the first round and now second at Big Buck. It’s a lot easier to maintain that lead now than have to catch up later in the season, so this is really a big deal for me and for our team,” said Poynter.

In the XC2 class, David Plavi was on the tenth row for the start and charged his way through traffic and claimed a third place finish. “We started way back on the tenth row, but we worked through everyone and caught up to the XC1 class and just kept going. Our Wicked Bilt machine was great; the power steering is awesome. It handled well, turned good and it is really fast. It got us a good finish and we are pretty happy with that,” said Plavi, who is currently second in class points.

The next round of competition for the SxS classes will be at round seven of the 2015 GNCC series, the Mountaineer Run, on May 23rd in Masontown, WV where Treavis Poynter and David Plavi will be going for wins in their Offroadmotorsports/ Wicked Bilt Can-Am Mavericks.
