Sarah Baldwin had a stellar 2014 season grabbing a GNCC WXC class win, a National Enduro class championship, and represented the USA at the ISDE in Argentina. We caught up with Sarah to hear more about her 2014 season, plans for 2015 and more.

GNCCRacing.com: How's it going today?
Sarah Baldwin: It’s going pretty good! Just about to head to the gym.

How's your off-season been going?
The off-season has been pretty stellar so far. I’ve just been traveling around, ripping with all my buddies that I don’t get to see much during the season. Plus, all those Christmas cookies have given me a little extra traction so I’ve really been loving all this rain and mud (laughs)

Sounds like fun! So we spoke to you a few months ago but a lot has changed in your program. Tell us what you've got going on!
Well, I've since then I picked up a ride with KR4. This season I’ll be contending for a WXC title on a Husqvarna 300 for them, and I’ll be swapping back and forth between my KTM 200 and 250 for the select NEPG races I can get to.

How much of a help has KR4 been to you?
KR4 has been a life saver! As far as GNCC is concerned, I was in a bit of a rut when Fred found me. I had the speed but without the trackside support, I couldn’t seem to stay on the podium, much less get to the top step. As soon as KR4 stepped in, my results improved. The confidence in having an awesome group of people standing behind you is unparalleled. I’m stoked to be with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KR4/FAR team for 2015.

You also met your goal of beating Kacy Martinez straight up. Tell us how that went.
Beating Kacy was an awesome feeling, but getting the overall was the cherry on top. I knew I had the speed all along, but something just clicked in Pennsylvania. As soon as I got through the first corner in front, I knew it was going to be a good day. I was able to stay calm, smooth and out front all the way to the finish. Rocks and no water crossings are generally a pretty good combination for me.

How did it feel to come away with the win at Mountain Ridge?
It was almost bittersweet. I was stoked to finally come away with the win, but it was kind of upsetting it took so long to get it done. I’m ready to be in the center spot more often in 2015.

You also got to compete in the ISDE. What was that like?
The terrain down in Argentina was pretty intense. It was either extremely sandy or rocky, but there were some awesome sections with some killer views. ISDE was a major learning experience for me. I went into the first day a little wild and it didn’t work out well. In a rocky fourth test, I went end over end, jacking up the tendon in my left thumb. I was able to put in a couple decent tests throughout my two and a half days before I just couldn’t hang onto the bars anymore. I was extremely bummed with my performance as a whole. One day I’ll have to go back and show Tayla how it’s done though.

And to top it all off you came away with the Women's A/B championship in the National Enduros. How was that this past season?
This season was a roller coaster! I had some amazing rides and some, well, that were not quite so amazing (laughs) Walking away with the National Enduro title and B Overall was a high for sure! From row 122 at Sandlapper to a perfect row in Indiana, I had a blast racing all the tracks in the series. I’m pretty bummed I won’t be defending my title this year but I’ll definitely be at as many rounds as I can.

You definitely had a heck of a 2014 season, but what was the biggest highlight for you?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. I’d probably have to say the highlight of my year was my WXC win in Pennsylvania. Goes to show what can happen when everything clicks.

So what are your plans for 2015?
I’m going to run the entire GNCC season along with select National Enduros. I’d also like to try out some races like the Tennessee Knockout and the Ozark 100 Miler. We’ll see what’s in the budget.

What do you hope to accomplish in 2015?
For me the goal is always to win. While the main focus is a WXC title, I’d like to rack up as many wins as I can.

What about beyond 2015?
Beyond 2015, I’d love to pick up a factory ride as well as titles in all different forms of racing. It would be cool to do some racing out west like WORCS or Hare and Hound.

Alright before we wrap this up, who would you like to thank?
I want to say a huge thanks to my parents for all the support this past year, there’s no way I could’ve done any of this without them. I want to thank Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KR4/FAR, Fly, Maxxis, Amsoil, and Fasst Company. Also, I want to give a shout out all the family, friends, and fans that support me!
