3/11 Performance Race Report from Big Buck GNCC

Well, when we loaded up we knew it was not one of our favorite tracks, but that is the great thing about GNCC racing there are some open tracks and some technical tracks and that is what builds champions.

We will start with the #5 West Virginia boy, Carter Kerens. We were walking the track Friday and someone said “Hey carter what do you think of the track” Carter replied, “Wish it would rain.” During the race he did great; he went into the woods 4th and battled there for two laps then he pulled over to talk to his dad. After that it was on, he went from 4th about ten seconds down to 2nd with a nice lead in one lap and stayed there for the last lap and put his 125 raptor on the podium for the second race in a row. Great job Carter!

Next is our Pennsylvania rider, little Ronnie Rusch. Ronnie runs the 125 Sr. class, and we know he feels he could have done better then his 4th place class finish and top 15 overall, but we are nothing but proud of him. He had a rough start going heading into the woods with some traffic in front of him. This let the top three get a lead on him that he just could not reel in during his Saturday morning race. We are confident that in two weeks when we head to Indiana he will be ready to contend for a class win. Good job Ronnie!

We would like to say a good job to Tanner Talbott.  Layne Mcormick and Jordon Digsby for running our products this year. In closing we would like to say that our prayers go out to Laz, his wife and the entire GT Thunder family, you will be missed.
