GNCC Racing Returns to Pennsylvania for the Inaugural Mason-Dixon GNCC
Borich, McClure and Fowler Set to Battle for Overall Win

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 26, 2018) – The 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship, returns to racing after summer break and a cancellation due to inclement weather this weekend, September 29 and 30. This weekend will mark the first time since 2003 that GNCC Racing will return to Mathews Farm in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania.

Chris Borich earned the Pro class win at Mathews Farm in 2003, and will aim to earn the win 15 years later.

It has been 15 years since the last Mathews Farm event was held, and on Saturday, September 6, 2003 Maxxis/Fly Racing/Ye Olde Cycle Barn’s Chris Borich earned the Pro class win. This year Borich is looking to once again put his ATV at the front of the pack and earn his second win of the 2018 season. Borich took the win at Snowshoe before the summer break and is hoping to pick up where he left off this Saturday.

However, WFR/GBC/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Walker Fowler leads the way in the National Championship standings and will be on the hunt to earn his sixth win of the season. The last time Fowler raced at Mathews Farm, he was racing a KTM 65cc motorcycle in the GNCC youth division where he finished 31st overall. This weekend, Fowler is hoping to earn his sixth XC1 Pro ATV win of the season.

Currently second in the points standings is JMR/ATVriders.com/Maxxis’ Jarrod McClure. Earlier in the season McClure earned his first win, and more recently finished second at round nine, Snowshoe. Heading into the Mason-Dixon GNCC, the Pennsylvania native sits 34-points behind Fowler, so you will want to keep your eye on him as he will be looking to earn his second win of the season and close that gap.

Bneal Motorsports/CST Tires/Houser Racing’s Brycen Neal heads into this weekend third in points and hoping to utilize his past performances and practice during the summer break to battle for his second overall win. AmPro Yamaha/Gear Alloy/GBC’s Cole Richardson is ready to redeem himself after only completing two laps at the previous round in June. Richardson has managed to hold onto the fifth place position in points, but he will be looking to finish at the front of the pack in front of his family and friends.

Jarrod McClure will hope to earn valuable points in the National Championship standings, as he currently sits 34 points behind Fowler.

Another racer looking for a better outcome this round is McGill Mafia/CST Tires/Moose Racing’s Adam McGill. During the previous round at Snowshoe, McGill found himself in the lead but after completing four laps a mechanical issue would ultimately end his day. McGill has been busy during the GNCC break, racing the Vegas to Reno race, and is more than ready to battle for his second win of the season.

Sitting seventh and eighth in the points are M.R. Unlimited/GBC Tires/RJR’s Devon Feehan and Spider Graphix/GBC Motorsports/Moose Racing’s Marty Christofferson. Both riders have been consistently battling throughout the season for a top 10 finish, and this weekend they will continue to push forward.

Cole Richardson hails from Edinburg, Pennsylvania, and is hoping to claim a win in front of his hometown family and friends.

In the XC2 Pro-Am class, Maxxis/Ithaca Recreation Sports/Fly Racing’s Hunter Hart leads the way. Hart has earned seven class wins, and he is currently on a six-win streak. As the GNCC series heads to a new venue, Hart will be looking to earn his eighth win of the season. One rider looking to end his success is Demaree Motorsports/LSR/Fly Racing’s Austin Abney, who earned the round one class win and currently sits second in points.

Coastal Racing/Waynesburg Yamaha/Lan Mills XC’s Drew Landers is also looking to battle at the front of the pack as he sits third in points. Pierce Performance/Maxxis/Waynesburg Yamaha’s John Glauda Jr. has had a handful of podiums thus far in the season, and even earned the win at round three in the XC2 Pro-Am class. Glauda Jr. is looking to once again land in the center of the podium and earn some valuable points as he currently sits fourth.
