Second Annual Mowgli Memorial Dog Show Returns to Mountaineer Run GNCC
Family Fun Event Offered this Saturday Night at Round 11

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (September 20, 2017) – The sixth annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run GNCC returns to Marvin’s Mountain Top in Masontown, West Virginia this weekend, September 24 and 25. Alongside the jam-packed weekend of racing the second annual Mowgli Memorial Dog Show, presented by the GNCC Kennel Club, is scheduled to take place Saturday night at 8 p.m. on Pro Row.

After becoming an instant hit last year, it was only fitting to make the dog show an annual event. This year a total of seven classes will be offered based on dog breed and size: Pro Class (Registered Pedigrees), 4-Stroke (51+ lbs.), 2-Stroke (16<50 lbs.), Lites (Terriers, Miniatures and Foo-Foo dogs 0<15 lbs.), Utility (Shepherds, Labs, Retrievers, Service Dogs), Senior (10+ years) and Pee Wee (Puppies 0<1 year).

Each category will be judged on appearance, agility and attire. So, brush up on the tricks and put together the perfect outfit, because the Pampered 4-Paws judges will be looking for the best of the best at Masontown this weekend. All pooches will receive a special GNCC Kennel Club themed participation medal, and the top three in each class will be recognized and receive ribbons. In addition to the class awards, specialty awards will also be up-for-grabs including Best Dressed, Personality Plus, Whose Got Talent and Best in Show.

The event will be emceed by GNCC announcer, Rodney Tomblin, and Event Director, Tim Cotter. Racer TV will be on-site filming a special feature to air the following day during the 1 p.m. pro bike race live broadcast.

Local fans are encouraged to participate in both the racing action and dog show. Adult (12+) gate admission is $20 for the full weekend and $10 for kids (6-11), with kids five and under free. Gate admission includes pro pit access, pro autographs and special events at no additional charge. The amateur race entry fee is $40 if racers pre-register, and $50 if riders sign up at the track.
