Adam McGill Aims to take Home State Win This Saturday at the
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run GNCC
GNCC Racing Returns to Marvin’s Mountain Top

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (September 20, 2017) – With the 2018 National Championship now in hand, WFR/Yamaha/Maxxis/Fly Racing’s Walker Fowler heads to the sixth annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run GNCC this weekend, September 23 and 24, with full confidence. However, knowing there is nothing to lose with only three rounds remaining in the 2017 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series, presented by Maxxis, the rest of the pro class will be charging hard to steal the top spot away from Fowler.

Adam McGill is still searching for his first win of the season, and will be hopeful to do it in front of his hometown friends and family this Saturday.

CST/Induction Solutions/LSR/HiPer/Spider Graphix’s Adam McGill, a two-time Mountaineer winner, will be looking to take his first win of the season. McGill has made multiple podium appearances this year and sits in the runner-up position the points chase, but is still lacking a win due to Fowler’s dominating fashion this year.

The entire XC1 Pro field has shown promise in ending Fowler’s success, including Coastal Racing’s Brycen Neal. After getting off to an unfavorable start at the last round, Neal pushed his way through the pack to round out the overall podium. If Neal can get off to a better start this weekend there’s no doubt he will be a top contender for the overall win.

Six-time GNCC champion Chris Borich was running up front until his rear shock broke, ultimately taking him out of the race. Borich will be searching for redemption this weekend, while JMR/ATVriders.com’s Jarrod McClure will be looking to keep the momentum rolling from his podium finish at Unadilla.

GBC/Fly Racing/HMF/Yamaha’s Johnny Gallagher comes into the tenth round after finding some bad luck in New York. Gallagher’s worst finish of the season was followed by his first-ever overall win earlier this year. Knowing that Gallagher is motivated by setbacks makes him one to keep an eye on.

ATV Innovations/Solo Pilot’s Westley Wolfe will also be fighting for the spotlight after his career-best finish at Unadilla. With his rookie season coming to a close, Wolfe’s skillset continues to expand. After holding a podium position for a couple laps, and ultimately finishing fourth, Wolfe now knows the speed needed to take his first-ever GNCC overall podium finish.
