All of us at Racer Productions are stunned by the news of the passing of Dale Cooke. Dale, nicknamed “Cookie,” was a staple on the GNCC circuit where he was a long-time off-road racer who turned his passion into a career. Cookie’s involvement with the RidePG KTM satellite team helped start the careers of Kailub Russell, Jordan Ashburn and Cory Buttrick.
Cookie then began working with Chris Bach. With Cookie’s help Bach was able to excel in his career where he joined the JCR Honda team and took the 2015 Tomahawk GNCC overall win.
Most recently, Cookie served as the FMF/KTM Factory Racing semi driver. He could also be seen at the youth podium celebrations handing out hats to each KTM rider. Cookie would stay until the very last podium where he congratulated each and every rider on their race.
Cookie’s life was tragically cut short when he was involved in a bicycle accident on Monday, May 29. He later passed from injuries he sustained on Thursday, June 1. Cookie had a passion for anything in the great outdoors where last year he rode his KTM adventure bike from California to North Carolina after returning the KTM semi at the end of the season.
Funeral services were held earlier today.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Kurt Caselli Foundation, PO Box 6676, Lancaster, CA 93534 or online – www.kurtcaselli.com.
