Ruckle Race Report from Loretta Lynn's

Hey Everyone Its Cody Ruckle with my race report from round 6 of the Parts Unlimited Loretta Lynn's GNCC from Hurricane Mills, TN. It started out to be a great weekend of racing until a line of storms moved through the area about 45 minutes before race time. The rain had about stopped when I headed to the line on my YZ 125 dressed in my Fly gear. I was really excited to be back at Loretta’s, but I was a little disappointed that we didn't run the motocross track. The track conditions were really slick and the second turn was a disaster, but my Kenda tires hooked right up.
My dad told me to take it easy, layback and get feel for the track conditions. So, that is exactly what I did for the first two laps. Once I got into my grove and the conditions improved, I charged to the end, riding smart and picking good lines, gaining overall positions with each lap. I ended my race with a 1st in the class and a 44th overall. My best overall finish of the season so far!!! I can't wait until the next round at Mountaineer Run on May 25, because it is my hometown race. I raced my first race on a 50 there. Hopefully I will have a big cheering section with family and friends coming out to watch. So if you come to town early, look me up.
I would like to thank God for keeping me safe, Mom and Dad, Ryan Inmon, Luke Miller, Layne Michael, Colton Cumpston and Gary Fridley for riding with me.
