Racer Productions, producers of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series, would like to congratulate all racers who competed in the SCORE/Baja 1000, which took place in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico over the weekend. Several GNCC Racers were on hand to compete in the legendary event, taking home an impressive string of finishes in the end.
Waynesburg, Pennsylvania’s Scott Kiger captured first place in the L#-19 Stock UTV division, topping nearly 20 teams in the 24-plus-hour competition. On the ATV side, Team UXC Racing’s Michael Swift took home a victory in the M-A ATV 26 Ltd Utility division, while Don Higbee finished an impressive second place and Mike Penland took third with an unfortunate DNF.
The GNCC Racing family extends their deepest condolences to the friends and family of Kurt Caselli, who died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash while competing in the Baja 1000. Kurt was an integral part of the off-road racing community and his presence will be greatly missed.
