The GNCC Racing Nation has been honored again with a nominee for induction into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The AMA has announced that nine-time GNCC National Champion and three-time AMA National Hare Scramble Champion, Ed Lojak Sr., has been selected as a nominee for induction into the 2017 AMA Hall of Fame Class. Lojak dominated the off-road racing world through the 80’s, winning GNCC titles from 1980 to 1984 and from 1986 to1989.   Lojak was the first GNCC Champion and the first 5-time champion. His record has been matched by Hall of Famers Scott Summers and Rodney Smith, but never beaten.

Although selection as a nominee is an honor in and of itself, final selection will be determined by an online voting process. Only AMA Life Members and living Hall of Famers are eligible to vote, so if you are a life member or know a life member or Hall of Famer, we encourage you to cast your vote for this racing icon. AMA Life Members received an email on Monday, May 15 with a unique User ID and Password to vote on https://eBallot4.votenet.com/ama-cycle. Check your inbox and make sure you cast your vote before the polls close on June 14.
