Pruett Set For Final Race

Donnie Pruett of Beckley, WV will retire from racing after this Saturday’s GNCC Snowshoe Mountain race.  Pruett is a long time ATV racing legend with many accomplishments to call his own.  Over the years Pruett has shown racing fans enthusiasm & success in several different racing events.  Thus encouraging riders to stay focused on the sport they love!  We appreciate Donnie Pruett & thank him for his dedication to our ATV sport.  His unbelievable mark on racing history, including national championships in MX, TT and GNCC will not be forgotten.

Donnie started racing ATV's in 1985.  He was one of many racers who was helped lay the cross country path when he participated in the Blackwater100.  One year later the State of WV knew his name as Pruett became the state MX Champion. In 1987 Donnie Pruett was the VA  ATV Olympics overall winner.  The Olympics consisted of MX, TT, XC all in a 1 day event.  During the same year Pruett resided in California for 3 months participating in the Golden State Nationals and arena-cross.  Donnie had just begun to taste success as it continued in 1988 when he became the TN State MX champion and Mega Series Champion.  One of Pruett’s favorite races was in 1990 when GNCC held an event at Winterplace Ski Resort which is only miles from his home.  Pruett’s victories continued in 1992 & 1993 when he clinched the MX title and 

Loretta Lynn’s National Open B championship in MX & TT, respectively.  By 1995 Donnie’s love for the cross country trails became his primary focus engaging faithfully to GNCC’s annual event calendar.  Nine years later in 2004 Pruett’s love for our ATV sport couldn’t be touched and he received factory support from Suzuki in the Pro-am.  In 2009 Pruett quenched the Open B Super ATV national class winner. His passion for ATV shown again in 2014 as he obtained GNCC’s National Championship in Silver Masters Class.  With all the accomplishments listed above it is proven that Pruett has an outstanding ATV career as he officially has a national title in every series of ATV racing he competed in.

In 2015 Donnie joined the Kymco as their 4x4 factory rider.  After over 31 years of racing, 4 national championship titles and 500+ trophies Pruett will be retire from ATV racing entirely as he finishes GNCC’s Snowshoe Mountain Race.  It is with great honor we wish Pruett the best life has to offer!!
