FMF KTM Factory Team rider Russell Bobbitt had a near-perfect day at Round 4 of the AMA National Enduro Series on Sunday, where he captured the overall victory and the championship points lead. SRT/KTM riders Steward Baylor Jr. and Cory Buttrick finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, giving KTM a podium sweep at the Cherokee National Enduro. Additionally, FMF KTM Factory Team rider Kacy Martinez captured her third win of the season to extend her points lead in the Women’s Class.

In the first test of the day, Bobbitt powered his KTM 250 XC-F off to a great start, ultimately finishing only two seconds behind Jesse Groemm for the 2nd place position. From there, Bobbitt went on to capture the next three test-wins over KTM Support Rider Steward Baylor, who finished 2nd in all three.

Bobbitt closed out the final two tests of the day with a solid 2nd place finish, where he was able to secure his first win of the season at his home race in Georgia.

“The Georgia terrain is home to me and I had a blast riding the fresh trail out there,” Bobbitt said. “It feels good to finally get my first win of the season and to take over the points lead. I’m looking forward to keeping this momentum rolling to the end of the season.”

Baylor ended the day on a strong note as he captured the sixth and final test-win of the day to secure 2nd overall on his KTM 450 XC-F. His teammate, Cory Buttrick, put forth a consistent top-three performance all day long to earn 3rd overall aboard his KTM 450 XC-F.

Martinez began the day with a test-win in the Women’s Class, where she went on to capture an additional test-win and three second-place finishes. Making minimal mistakes all day, Martinez went on to capture her third win of the season at Round 4.

“Both of our FMF KTM Factory riders ride near perfect today and we can see it on the results,” said Team Manager Antti Kallonen. “As we are reaching the halfway point of the season it is good to see Russell taking over the points lead. I hope to see him and Kacy both extending their points leads at the next round.”
