Adam McGill Looks to Extend Points Lead at Wiseco John Penton GNCC
Cole Richardson Leads XC2 Pro Am Points Into Round Eight

Morgantown, W.Va (June 3, 2015) – CST/Lonestar/DeRisi/Tire Blocks/Spider Graphics backed Adam McGill controls the championship points lead of the 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship as the series heads to round eight at this weekend’s Wiseco John Penton GNCC in Millfield, Ohio.

McGill will have his work cut out for him as N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha/Maxxis/Lonestar rider Walker Fowler led wire-to-wire to claim the win at last year’s John Penton GNCC and will look to do so again in his bid to work his way into the championship points lead. Fowler currently sits 17 points behind McGill, and a win would be a major boost in his bid to claim his first-ever GNCC title. JMR/ATVRiders.com-backed Jarrod McClure currently sits third place in championship standings with three podiums and two additional top five finishes. McClure will be looking to challenge the top two guys to claim his first-ever GNCC overall win.

Six-time and defending series champion, Team Maxxis’ Chris Borich is still looking to claim his first win of the season after being struck by bad luck multiple times in 2015. Even with a streak of bad luck, Borich has still landed on the overall podium four times thus far and currently sits fourth in championship standings, however, it has been since 2002 that Chris Borich has gone through an entire season without an overall win.

Nevertheless, Borich holds a one-point lead over fifth place rider, Bithell Racing/Maxxis/Precision’s Chris Bithell. After claiming the win at round five, Bithell has continued to run with the front of the pack, even though a little tough luck has knocked him out of podium contention at the previous two rounds. Bithell will ultimately look to return to a podium finish this weekend.

All of these riders will also have number of tough competitors including Maxxis/B. Neal Motorsports Brycen Neal, who is currently sits sixth place in championship point standings. Coastal/Waynesburg Yamaha’s Jay Shadron has shown that he can run in podium contention and will look for his second podium finish of the 2015 season.

Fasttrax/Wolf Racing’s Brian Wolf will look for a solid performance in front of a home state crowd. Wolf has finished inside the top five twice this season and is no stranger to the overall podium. Rounding out the top ten of the championship point standing is GBC/Yamaha/HMF rider Johnny Gallagher, who is another rider who has claimed multiple podium finishes throughout his career and hopes to return to a podium finish.

In the XC2 Pro Am class, N-Fab AmPro Yamaha/Maxxis/Lonestar’s Cole Richardson returned to his winning ways at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Mountaineer Run GNCC in West Virginia. The defending class champion will be looking for his seventh win of the 2015 season. However, he won’t go unchallenged as Martin Christofferson, who currently sits second in the XC2 Pro Am point standings, will be looking for his first win of the season. RYCO Racing rider Cody Collier claimed the XC2 Pro Am win at the Dunlop Tomahawk GNCC in New York, and currently sits just three points behind Christofferson in the XC2 Pro Am point standings.
