Chris Bithell Looks For Another Win At Inaugural Tomahawk GNCC
Championship Points Leader Adam McGill Hopes to Extend Lead

MORGANTOWN, W. Va (May 7, 2015) - After claiming his first win since 2013, Bithell Racing/Maxxis/Precision-backed Chris Bithell looks to carry his momentum into this weekend’s sixth round of the 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship with the inaugural Dunlop Tomahawk GNCC in Odessa, New York. Bithell came away with the overall win at a muddy Limestone 100 GNCC in Springville, Indiana two weeks ago.

CST/PirateMX.com/LSR/DeRisi/Tireblocks/SG’s Adam McGill controls the championship points lead coming into round six with a 27-point lead over N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha/Maxxis/Lonestar’s Walker Fowler. McGill and Fowler both experienced issues at the previous round, which kept them out of podium contention. Both riders will be looking to turn their luck around at round six.

After securing back-to-back podium finishes in the previous two rounds, JMR/ATVRiders.com’s Jarrod McClure has worked his way into third place in the championship points. After a tough start to the season, Yamaha/SSi/Maxxis Tires Chris Borich now sits fourth place in the points standings. Borich is no stranger to the New York terrain as he’s previous competed in local races held at the venue and will ultimately be looking to come away with his first win of the season.

Borich has his work cut out for him with tough competition though, including Maxxis/B. Neal Motorsports’ Brycen Neal, who led a portion of the previous race before a mechanical issue ended his day early. GBC/Yamaha/HMF’s Johnny Gallagher tied a season best sixth place finish at round and has worked his way into eighth place in the point standings. Coastal/Waynesburg Yamaha’s Jay Shadron already has one podium finish thus far in 2015 but a streak of bad luck in the previous two rounds has dropped Shadron to ninth place in the championship standings.

N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha/Maxxis/Lonestar’s Cole Richardson continues to lead the way in the XC2 Pro Am class after sweeping the victory at all five rounds thus far. Dillingers/Hygear's Marty Christofferson sits in the second place position, five points ahead of RYCO Racing/Pierce Performance’s Cody Collier in third.
