Jake Froman has had a stellar 2015 season thus far and leads the points in the 4-Stroke A Lites class. We caught up with Jake to talk about his 2015 season thus far, goals for the rest of the season, and more.

GNCCRacing.com: How's it going today?
Jake Froman: It's going good, just got out of school, getting ready to go on a bike ride.

So tell everyone a little about yourself.
I'm 18 years old, I live in Lynnville, Indiana and I'm a Senior at Tecumseh High School.

How did you get started racing?
My dad been an off-road racer for pretty much his whole life, so he got me into it at a young age and I’ve been hooked ever since.

You've had a couple of solid season in the A ranks of GNCC Racing. Tell us how it's been.
It's been pretty good, last year was really my first full season in the GNCC series since I've been on youth bikes, but it still went pretty good. I ended up 2nd in the 4-Stroke A Lites class and had a few wins throughout the season.

So far this season you've been consistently at the front of the 4-Stroke A Lites class and you're leading the points after 3 rounds. How's that feel?
It's a little bittersweet. After running out of gas in Georgia and having a really hard crash leaving me with bent bars last weekend, it's really nice to still be holding the points lead. I've just not been able to put together the ride that I know I can.

Do you think you can hold the points lead for the rest of the season?
Yeah for sure, I just need to not make stupid mistakes and ride like I know how.

What would it take to come away with a class championship?
I know I have what it takes to win, it's just a matter of putting everything together for 3 hours every weekend. There’s a lot of tough competition in the class but I’ve proven that I can claim class wins, I just need to make it happen.

If you make it happen, have you given any thought to what you'd like to do next year?
The plans for next year are really unclear at this point but I'm hoping to be making the move up to the XC2 class.

What do you hope to accomplish through the rest of the 2015 season?
I'm hoping to continue winning the 4-Stroke A Lites class along with some top amateurs, and maybe make a run at the top amateur spot for the season.

What do you hope to accomplish beyond 2015?
My goal the next few years is to be a podium contender in the XC2 class and just see where that leads.

What's it going to take to make it happen?
It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication but I do believe that I can be there.

Alright before we wrap it up, who would you like to thank?
I’d like to thank everyone that's behind me; Obermeyer Suzuki, Suzuki Motor of America, Yoshimura, Rekluse Clutches, Sunstar Sprockets and Chains, Stickman Graphix, TM Design Works, Fly Racing, Dragon Goggles, Kenda Tires, IMS Products, Enduro Engineering, Unabiker, Franklin Well Service, No-Toil, Western Power Sports, Performance Refinish Supply, my parents, and my trainer Zeb.
