2014  Zach Ingram Race Report

Before the Race:  The last round of the series was held at the Cumberland covered bridge in Matthews, Indiana. We arrived Saturday afternoon to get signed up and get the track map/ info figured out. Rumor had it the conditions were going to be perfect and we should expect a really fun race.

Race: The first section was around 12 miles long. The dirt was almost perfect but I couldn’t really find the flow and struggled with some of the slower guys in front of me. Test two was a lot better with a shorter distance of only 6.5 miles. The faster corn field sections were really fun on the big Suzuki, and I was gelling with the bike the second third and fourth tests. Test 5 was a little muddy and more technical, and I made a couple mistakes unexpectedly stalling the bike. The last section was a long 15 miles but I stayed consistent and pushed to the end. I wound up 11^th place in the pro class and 13^th overall for the day.

After Race Thoughts: It was a good race to end the season that’s for sure. This whole year has been awesome, finishing off the year on the Obermeyer/Suzuki was really fun and I can’t thank everyone enough for the support all year long. Looking forward to some local racing from here!
