Team Shenandoah Honda/Offroadchampions Report - Unadilla

Round 10 of the GNCC Series was held this weekend at the famous motocross track "Unadilla", New Berlin NY. The start of the PM race was delayed by two hours due to a overload on riders signing up last minute. A nice problem to have as an organizer.

The XC 1 class took off at 3 pm local time with Team Shenandoah Honda/Offroadchampions rider Thad Duvall having a decent start hitting the trail in 5 th place. After the first lap Duvall was in 3 rd place, a good postion for him to build on and able to mix it up with the leaders. Duvall liked the motocross part of the track, looking very smooth and fast. After a short time in 4 th, he moved up to second place and had a battle on his hands with GNCC points leader Paul Whibley. For a few laps they swapped place several times with Duvall taking the lead at the seond to last lap. Duvall put the hammer down at the last lap and finished strong in 1 st place. This was Duvall's first career win in the XC 1 class!

Duvall: "I m very happy with the win. The race went well, I had some good first laps that put me in position to fight for the lead.  I'm really glad that I finished on the podium after missing it a few times this year. The work that I put in over the summer with John Ross did pay off. I can't thank Shenandoah Honda enough for all the work they put into the bike and me and Offroadchampions for giving me a change to ride a Honda."

The team will now travel to Germany for this years ISDE. Duvall is part of the US Junior team with teammates Delong, Coy and Groemm. The race starts September 24 and will finish on the 29 th. Follow Thad's international effort on
